Portraits from Ethiopia

African Portraiture, Culture

Painted faces, beads, and decorated flower headpieces were what drew me to the Omo valley of Ethiopia. Mothers adorn their young ones in paint, beads, and flowers, Young and old  go down to the river to wash and beautify themselves. A tribal tradition became a means to an income for the tribes in Ethiopia. Tribes that might one day be lost to the world.
